Play doh,# 3 year old obsessed!, October 7, 2013

My daughter received this as a gift and boy, does she love it. I, personally, am not a huge fan of play dough in the sense that it is messy, dries out, somehow the colors always get mixed, and frankly, is way over priced. This was a really good gift. The play dough aspect only lasted a week or so, but the castle and princesses are priceless. When the play dough was good, Tot loved to play with it. Under each princess is a "stamp" of 3-4 characters or items from their movie (i.e. Cinderella has a bird, Gus, and a pumpkin) which makes for cute cut outs. I have even contemplated using them for my toddlers next birthday to make gum paste characters for her cake/ cupcakes.

The figurines themselves are very stable and well painted. I have run them through the dishwasher several times and they hold up well on the top rack. The arm's or head's don't move, but that doesn't discourage my tot to play with them every day and have them at every tea party, etc. They are the perfect size to play along with those other small princess Polly pocket type figurines.
The castle itself is of really good quality. I like that all the pieces of it are large and easy to keep together. The smallest thing is the tower tip to press "hair" out for Rapunzel. The dark pink doors easily come off the hinges, so when the castle isn't being used for play dough, it can have the doors off to be an open castle corridor- perfect for doll weddings. The castle can also store the figurines inside to take up less room. I even let my 6 month old play with the figurines- I tell my daughter they are the only thing baby can play with (because the Polly pocket ones have tiny breakable parts- I would watch that they don't poke their eye with the hands that can be pointy). We have had this thing for nearly a year and it gets constant play and still looks pretty new.

# Kept daughter entertained for 2 hours, April 7, 2013

My daughter got this as a birthday present. Like most play doh products, I expected it to be hard to use, harder to clean, and would take longer to setup/cleanup than the time using it. I was pleasantly surprised. The castle snapped together easily. Making and remaking dresses for the dolls was simple, the play doh came out of the mold well, and the Rapunzel hair tower was easy enough for my 5 year hold to push. She played with the castle for 2 hours and Loved the glitter Play Doh. Cleanup and storage was simple. All the pieces snap on or go inside the castle for compact storage. I would recommend this for any princess loving little girl/boy.

# SHE LOVES IT!, October 24, 2012
by Timothy James Dean "Author and Reader" (Planet Earth):-
A princess castle - AND a Play-Doh molding machine. It's a winner of a combination for little girls. I got this for a princess-obsessed 5 year old granddaughter - AND SHE LOVES IT! It's the ideal gift for the princesses in your life, ages 3 and up, it says - I'd guess to about 8. It's a royal combo princess fantasy - count 'em: 3 princesses - Belle, Aurora and of course, Cinderella. Or 4, if you include the sticker version of Rapunzel, whose glittery hair is let down by your little girl in the form of extruded Play-Doh.

The whole thing is easy to put together - took about ten minutes, with a 5-yr old doing the work. My particular princess is heavily into royal fashion, and spends hours creating Play-Doh gowns and accessories. She does include other of her dolls, and can escape into her Disney-inspired world for hours. The process stimulates creativity, practicality, and hand-eye coordination.

There's a prince, of course - and you need to look for some of the molds under his door.
